About the artist.

Delicate early morning light seen through prisms of dew drops in an Adirondack meadow.  Vibrant building lights at night reflected in a city river; the lush texture and colors of freshly shucked oysters, subtle and voluptuous; a mysterious beam of light, the Manhattan skyline reclining elegantly across water.

Light, in its mystery and beauty, makes me feel something. Painting connects me spiritually to the world and to myself. I explore and discover those feelings through color and light.  Time deliciously disappears.  The mundane becomes special.  Emotion and memory surface.  I am deeply aware of how brief life is and I cherish my time on earth.  Painting magnifies my appreciation and awareness of life. Unlike making a photograph, creating a painting is a very deep dive. I experience places and feelings more deeply and intimately. It is an exhilarating, liberating, and  challenging effort  – but, always a learning experience.

I hope you find some deeper feeling and meaning within yourself by viewing my art.  And I hope that your own self-discovery improves the quality of your life and those around you.

I have made art since I was a child.  Photography has been a lifelong passion that led me to painting. To see more of my photography please visit ASAPearlCreative.com
